Was perusing the net and came across these links for recipes to make your own pb2!!
    How cool!
You can even make the pb2 chocolate version or ANY flavor you mind concocts :D

    Homemade Low fat PB2 imitation
    You just need:

    Peanut flour
    water/milk
    salt (opt)
    sweetner (opt)
    stir

**for additional flavors anything you want.

    here's the link

PB2 does not sub for PB. That's like subbing a carb for a fat.

exactly!! I add it to stuff for flavor, but add it and count it as a carb. Which in that case I have to make sure I don't add a ton! I love my oats too much!! :p

I do like to add it to greek yogurt for flavor, or to protein powder (if I have only chocolate) The biggest thing I was adding it to before is my oats in prep as my previous prep diet also had a VERY low fat content(basically added NONE to my diet, except what was naturally in my carbs or protein sources).

Is this "peanut flour" basically the same as the stuff that comes in the PB2 jars? Or is there "flour" added? Or is that just some term they are using because it is dry?

    -according to:
    http://www.goldenpeanut.com/flour.aspx

"Peanut Flour is all-natural roasted partially defatted flour made from high oleic US Grade peanuts. These peanut flours are available in either 12% fat or 28% fat levels in various roast colors."

Oh! Ok, so I guess it is the same thing as PB2. I don't go to Trader Joes all that much, but if I'm in the area, definitely something I will look for!

It is pretty similar. As PB2 for 12 grams(weight) has 1.5grams of fat, 5g carbs, and 5g of protein

It probably is just as expensive. But have you tried to see what it costs from the Bell Plantation site itself?

Also I did check Trader Joes and they told me it was a discontinued item :'(
