How do YOU make 'spaghetti' for a non carb meal.

    I use shirataki noodles. They are made from tofu. They are very good. I am making them tonight

    soy is a thyroid and hormone disrupter. On ocassion its ok but not on a daily basis.

    You can have cottage cheese, eggs, greek yogurt as non meat options.

    one of my favorites is
    subbing chicken for cottage cheese.. 85g chicken=193g of my favorite (friendship low sod) cottage cheese. top with spicy salsa and jalepenos.

    For "noodles" use a zucchini: peel it with a veggie peeler and just "blanche" it in the micro so it is still a bit crunchy. For "sauce" par-boil tomatoes, take the skin off and zip it in the blender with whatever spices like garlic basil etc and use the cottage cheese like Ileen said and you got some "pasta"!

    What do you ladies generally eat on or with your Spaghetti Squash? Do you put sauce on it and if so what kind? Its seems like most sauces have a lot of carbs and sugars.

    I love spaghetti squash, and zucchini. I use Shiratki noodles as my instant "hangry" fix. 0 calories, less than 1g carbs per 85g. The Shirataki Noodles I buy don't have soy in them: Purified water, yam flour, and hydrated lime. JCF is the brand.
