this is what I found when I searched youtube.
I'm a visual person, I am making this more complicated than it is. Is there anything I can supplement these for until I figure them out?

Depends on the person, their biomechanics, the height of the bench, etc.

Are shorter step-ups more quad dominant?

If he was doing that without moving that first foot. So he plants his first foot, steps behind and immediately down to the ground-then back over
I think I did them right. Do you count going to each side one rep or is it until you get back to the side that you started?
I would count one rep when you get back to where you started.
You mean lower? Yep.
