You can carb cycle while bulking. That's what I did.

Except my "low" days weren't really low. They were just lower than my "medium" and high days.

Just as a guideline for you, my "medium" days were at maintenance and my "low" days were at submaintenance.

I had three high days, two medium days and two low days.

One of my high days was also crap day, so it was even higher than my other two high days.

Smug, just out of curiosity, why did you decide to carb cycle for your bulk?

To help keep fat gain to a minimum.

How do you all get in all the xtra cals? Liquids? Fats? I need something that won't fill me up too much but is calorie dense. I'm doing dextrose PWO to help w/ this. Do you all have any other tips?

This is how I've stayed lean yet bulked... Smuggie is on the right track... Keep those protein intakes up and carb your way upward - putting on lean mass doesn't have to be hard.... It just takes planning and effort..

You found cycling vs just enough over maintenance helped with that?

This was my first time bulking, so I can't really compare the two.

But considering I didn't put on much fat I'd say I was successful in my goal.

When I bulk again I plan to follow the same strategy.

I doubt it will do THAT much. Low carb bulks, carb cycling- probably futile attempts to minimize fat gain. If you are eating over maintanence some is going to fat.

You think it's futile do ya? A total waste of time; have you ever done it?

Robben, you need a caloric surplus to gain anything- fat or muscle.

To me it just seems like an unnecessary hassle when you can just be eating protein, EFAs and above mainanence calories. Unless you are on drugs there is not much you can do about the fat gain- no doubts about it.
