Do me a favor lease: Try it.
  Screw the taste explosion, that's an orgasm for my mouth...
screw the taste - ill just take the experience...
So now try
- boiled chicken with veggies & pb!
- coffee with raisins or marshmallows
- coffee with coconut
- coffee with dark chcolate & cocoa (or all 3 combo's)
- omelette with banana/apple
And then I might try that bacon/pb/cheese combo. Not sure yet on the bread. That'd need to be gluten-free.
Hey, let's start a thread on weird but delicious food-combo's!
You start it Espi and I will surely post my food quirks in it.
My only question is why would you want to put raisins and marshmallows in your coffee?
As alternative sweeteners to sugar?
Sweetened coffee tastes like cardboard :yucky:
Ever used stevia? Splenda? Davincis?
Seems more appealing than raisins
Okay, raisins don't melt, right? So someone explain to me how that would sweeten a coffee, unless you had so many raisins in it that it was just a cup of raisins with a little bit of coffee so you had raisins with every mouthful???
They take up less space too - raisins tend to get bulky in coffee. :funny: They un-wrinkle and turn back into grapes I bet.
It's a texture thing for Espi
This fruit omelette thing has me curious. Do you blend the bananas and apples with the eggs or cut them up in chunks? Do you sweeten the eggs? This could be good with peanut butter. Very interesting, I never would have thought to do this.
I've had peanut sauce at thai restaurants before and I guess this could be made using PB.
That is absolutely a disgusting visualization!
They indeed unwrinkle if you let them soak long enough but that won't happen with hot coffee. Indeed a texture thing. In addition to raisins I also use aspartame (we can't get Splenda here and from what I hear , Splenda can be tough on the intestines, someone got major IBS from it, no thanks)
@ Lilbear: just cut up the apple/banana and put it in the skillet first. Apples can be simmered for a bit while you prepare the egg-cinnamon mixture (plus coconut or ground hazelnuts or ground almonds). However, I've decided to cut back a bit on omelettes because of the oxycholesterol you end up eating. That's what you get when you eat yolks that are made into omelettes, pies, pastries or whatever method that makes you heat them and disrupt the yolk sac. Doesn't pertain to egg-white only 'omelette's which to me, lose their taste. Plus, the sulphur in yolks makes it not necessary to use SAMe as a supplement. Never again I'll try an egg-white only diet.. made me feel the most miserable ever.
So you think Aspartame isn't hard on the entire system????! Go read the thread on it.
Yes, I agree. Aspartame is pretty vicious, from what I've read about it. I don't trust any artificial sweetener though and really shun them for the most part.
really? Even Stevia?
