Best PWO carb choices

    Currently, I'm eating 230ish carbs a day. Just wondering what the best amount to be consumed after working out and what are the best choices...some say oats, while others say bagels...just wondering what your thoughts were for the best pwo meal.

    230g / day?? I hate you. :pimpslap:

    I have a shake and mini bagel PWO. Then rice or yam, some sort of slower digesting carb for my ppwo meal. And thats it. No 230g here. I'd be a blimp!

    Eat three candy canes. 15g carbs each...all from sugar :innocent:

    This is one of those issues that fails the Goldberg Test. If you ate nothing but bagels PWO for a year, and then nothing but oats PWO for a year, your results wouldn't be significantly different.

    Just be sure to get a decent carb source and some protein in on a consistent basis. What those carbs are? Hell, people eat kiddie cereal. Go for something you like.

    I had a Starbucks Caramel Apple Cider for my post w/o carbs the other day. About 50g of sugary goodness. Mmmmmm

    Lately it's been gatorade or powerade for me but today my latest supplement order came in and included some waxy maize starch. Very easy to drink.

    I don't but like others have mentioned one carb is prettymuch as good as another right after the workout. I try to get some high GI carbs first then some low GI ones in my next meal.

    what are some good high GI foods to eat PWO then?? thanks so much everyone for your help!
