I went to the grocery store today. I wanted to reintegrate cereal into my life..........however I couldn't.

I couldn't figure out the nutrition information on the box. It says something like: total carbs 38 g
Then a few lines below it says something like:
    other carbs 17

What other carbs? Do you add the two numbers together? Do they mean if you accidently eat the cardboard package? What????

I gave myself permission to eat cereal and I couldn't even do it. Must have spent a good 30 minutes reading the back of all the boxes then just moved on.

    All different kinds

That was an example. I looked on the back of most of them. ie. Total, Wheaties, Chex, etc.

Go with the 'total carb' amount. Everything under it is just a breakdown, and there's a lot of marketing lately gearing towards the "low impact carbs!!" kind of junk. So they try to make it LOOK like there isn't as much as the total says.

Unsweetened almond milk has 3g carbs too. I buy Almond Breeze. It stays good a lot longer than milk, like weeks longer.

You mean you mix the shake and put the cereal in it, or you just drink/eat them together?

I mix the shake with some really cold water, pour it into a bowl, put the bowl on the scale, drop in set amount of cereal. grab spoon, and eat  Then I drink what's leftover.

Lately it's been cafe mocha pp with frosted mini wheats :yum:

    It's a breakdown. Other usually means non-sugars and non-fiber.

It'll be like 38g total carbs, 18g sugar, 17g other carbs, 3g fiber.
